Day 1: Mombasa – Tsavo West National Park

About Tsavo West National Park
Tsavo West forms one of the largest wildlife conservation areas on Earth and is one of the largest national parks in Kenya. The park has abundant wildlife, but due to its size and thicker vegetation game viewing is more challenging. For this reason it is less popular than the Maasai Mara and Amboseli. However, the park has one of the most diverse landscapes in East Africa, with several volcanic craters and interesting hills.
The Tsavo West National Park is “Full of wild beasts, such as rhinoceros, buffaloes and elephants” from a missionary’s diary written in 1848.
Later in 1900 the notorious “Man Eaters of Tsavo”, man-eating lions preyed on linesmen building the great Uganda Railway in 1900. The carriage from which they pulled a traveler is on display at the Nairobi Railway Museum.
Tsavo-West National Park has important historic connections as a major battleground in World War I where British and German troops battled for supremacy.

Full day will be spent in Tsavo West National park with morning and afternoon drives. All the meals dinner and overnight will be at your African budget safari camp in Tsavo West National Park.
Day 3: Tsavo West – Mombasa
The Tsavo west budget safari day starts with an early morning game drive in Tsavo West at 0630 hrs. This will be followed by a drive back to the Camp for breakfast.
