Detailed 3 Day Masai Mara Budget Safari Itinerary
Day 1: Nairobi to Masai Mara Game Reserve
Pick from your Nairobi hotel will be at 0800 Hrs. After briefing on the Masai Mara budget safari you will leave for the Masai Mara Game Reserve.
You will have a stop at the viewpoint of the Great Rift Valley. The other stop will be for lunch in Narok town. You will arrive in Masai Mara time for a late afternoon game drive.
Masai Mara Game reserve is the northern extension of Tanzania’s Serengeti National Park. The two Savannah parks are separated by an international artificial border. Dinner and overnight will at the Mara Wildebeest Camp.
About Masai Mara National Reserve
The Masai Mara National Reserve in the south western part of Kenya. it forms part of the greater eco-system that encompasses the Serengeti.
The Masai Mara is named for the Maasai people and the Mara River, which divides it. The wildlife is not confined within the reserve’s boundaries.

Day 2: Masai Mara National Reserve
Enjoy an early breakfast on this African budget safari in Kenya at your camp. This is to be followed by a full day of game drives within the reserve.
The Masai Mara is famous for its lions, elephants, leopard, rhino and buffalo. They make the ‘big five’ which were the most hunted wildlife. Among the 5, the rhino and the leopard are the hardest to track. The two are both shy and quite elusive.
The park’s animal concentration and numbers are second to none. We will stop for a picnic lunch at the hippo pool. Here with luck you may spot crocodiles basking on the rocks.
Many plains game here include antelopes, wildebeest, zebra and Masai giraffe. Also, to be seen as well as scavengers like hyena and vulture. Rest of the meals and overnight will be at Mara Wildebeest Camp.
Day 3: Masai Mara to Nairobi
After breakfast it will be time to break camp. You will leave the Mara region for Nairobi. Your arrival will be in the early evening. Drop off will be at your hotel in Nairobi.
