Maputo Special Reserve Tour Itinerary
Day 1: Maputo – Maputo Special Reserve
Today, you can expect our guide to picking you up in the early morning from your accommodation in Maputo for the Maputo special reserve tour. On the way to the reserve, you’ll be served a light breakfast.
Next, we your Maputo special reserve tour will head towards the ferry that takes us to the South side of Maputo Bay, Catembe. If the wait time at the ferry happens to be too long, we will simply drive around the bay, while enjoying the scenic route.
On our way to the Reserve, your Maputo special reserve tour will pass the village of Salamanga. Here we get the chance to visit a local bread factory as well as a Hindu temple, which is one of the highlights of the village (optional).
We can expect to arrive at the Reserve sometime between 8:30 am and 9:00 am this morning, possibly earlier. Driving along the Reserve, there is so much to discover. The Reserve is jam-packed with wildlife and ecosystems so rich and extraordinary.

Day 2: Game Drive in Maputo Special Reserve
Good Morning! This morning your Maputo special reserve tour will awake to a full breakfast made by our camp chef.
After a delicious breakfast, we will head towards the beach to spend the day and enjoy a delicious picnic lunch. After lunch, we will make our way back to our campsite to prepare for our sunset game drive.
Dinner will be enjoyed back at the campsite. Our evening will include grand storytelling and a nice fire until you decide to call it a night on Maputo special reserve tour.
Day 3: Game Drive On Maputo Special Reserve Tour
First thing this morning, you will enjoy another delicious breakfast courtesy of our camp chef.
After breakfast, we will head out on a morning game drive to see what we can find. We will return to the camp for lunch. Once lunch has settled, we will gradually make our way towards the Reserve gates and head back to Maputo.
The drive toward the gates is scenic, to say the least. We are still in the Reserve so there are plenty of opportunities to observe more animals and landscapes. We drive back to your accommodation.
