Detailed Wonderful Luxury Safari Kenya Itinerary
Day 1: Nairobi – Amboseli National Park
Our rep will meet you on arrival at JKIA or from your Nairobi hotel. This will at 0530hrs in the morning. You will be briefed on this 6-day Wonderful luxury safari Kenya.
Later enjoy a transfer to Wilson Airport. This is in time for your 0730hrs flight to Amboseli National Park. Our driver guide will be at hand to pick you upon arrival.
Embark on a morning game drive that will introduce you to the park’s wildlife. Later you will be transferred to Amboseli Serena Lodge for check in and lunch.
A short rest will be essential for relaxation. At 1600hrs you will go for the evening game drive. Return back to your safari lodge in time for dinner and overnight.
Amboseli National Park
Amboseli National Park, formerly Maasai Amboseli Game Reserve, is in Kajiado County, Kenya. The park is 39,206 hectares (392 km2; 151 sq mi) in size. It is at the core of 8,000 square kilometres (3,100 sq mi) ecosystem. This spreads across the Kenya-Tanzania border.
The local people are Maasai, but people from other parts of the country have settled there. This has attracted by the successful tourist-driven economy. There is intensive agriculture along the system of swamps.
This makes this low-rainfall area (average 350 mm (14 in)). It is one of the best wildlife-viewing experiences in the world. The park has over 400 species of birds. they include water birds, pelicans, kingfishers, crakes, hammerkops and 47 types of raptor.
Amboseli National Park protects two of the five main swamps. They include a dried-up Pleistocene lake and semi-arid vegetation.
The park is 240 kilometers (150 miles) southeast from the capital city Nairobi. Amboseli National Park is the second most popular national park in Kenya. This is after Maasai Mara National Reserve.
Day 2: Amboseli National Park

Amboseli is located at the foot of Mt. Kilimanjaro. This park has different kinds of wildlife. The fact that it is a plain makes sighting of animals much easier.
On a clear day, you will be able to see the tallest mountain in Africa, The Mt. Kilimanjaro. All meals will be at the Amboseli Serena Lodge.
Day 3: Amboseli – Tsavo West National Park
Wake up to an early morning game drive. This is to be followed by breakfast at your lodge. Later depart with game drive as you drive to Tsavo West National Park.
Your arrival at the Kilaguni Serena Lodge will be in time for lunch. Have the afternoon game drive at 1600Hrs. You will return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.
Tsavo West National Park
Tsavo West National Park is situated on Kenya’s southern border with Tanzania. This Kenya National Park is located about 200km south east of Nairobi. Combined with Tsavo East, this park forms one of the world’s largest game sanctuaries.
The East and West parks are separated by the Mombasa/Nairobi road. They both work nicely on a circuit with Mombasa. Tsavo West has a variety of landscapes, from swamps and natural springs to rocky peaks.
There are extinct volcanic cones, to rolling plains and sharp reddish outcrops here. Wildlife can be difficult to spot because of the dense scrubs.
In May 1948, a month after its conception Tsavo National Park was divided. This was into East and West for administrative purposes. At 21 812 square km, Tsavo National Park is the largest park in Kenya.
The park is named after the Tsavo River which flows from west to east. Tsavo East National Park is considered one of the world’s biodiversity strongholds.
It is the only Kenyan national park that permits night drives. It is also allowing off-road driving so one can see the wildlife close up.
Day 4: Tsavo West – Nairobi – Masai Mara National Reserve
Enjoy a morning on this luxury safari Kenya on an early breakfast. This is to be followed by a transfer to the Airstrip. You will be on the 0820 hrs flight to Wilson Airstrip.
On arrival you will connect to the 1000 hrs flight to Masai Mara Game Reserve. This is a 45 minutes scenic flight that lets you see a lot while airborne.
You will be picked up by our safari guide upon arrival at Keekorok Airstrip. Enjoy an evening game drive as an introduction to Masai Mara’s flora and fauna.
Later in the evening you will drive to Sarova Mara Tented Camp in time for dinner and overnight.
Masai Mara National Park
Maasai Mara (Masai Mara) is known as one of Africa’s Greatest Wildlife Reserves. It is situated in southwest Kenya and is part of the northern section of the Serengeti National Park. The park is famous for the plenty of the big cats, Lion, Leopard and Cheetah.
It is also known for the Great Wildebeest Migration and the Maasai people. the latter is well known for their distinctive custom and dress. There are many places to stay in and around the Maasai Mara.
The Mara has several conservancies surrounding it that have restricted number of vehicles. This allows a more private game viewing.
The wildebeest migration is in July to October. This is the best time to see this incredible movement of animals.
Although it is not guaranteed that the wildebeest get to Maasai Mara, it has yet to let us down. Also, December to February are great times as it is dryer and good for the Big Cats.
Day 5: Masai Mara Game Reserve
This is a full day of game viewing with picnic lunch in Masai Mara Game Reserve. You have a chance to see the great herds of plain’s game.
This includes the black manned lion, leopard, cheetah and many elephants. There is virtually every type of African wildlife to be found in Kenya in Masai Mara. All your meals, dinner and Overnight will be at Sarova Mara Tented Camp.
Day 6: Masai Mara – Nairobi
Wake up to a cup of coffee or tea. This will be followed by your early morning game drive. You will then return back to the lodge for breakfast and check out.
Complete your wildlife viewing with a game drive as you drive to the airstrip. You will be in time for the 1100hrs to Wilson Airstrip. On arrival you will be met and transferred to the Carnivore Restaurant.
Here you will enjoy world class lunch. Drop off at your Nairobi hotel or JKIA in time for your flight back home.
