4 Days Tsavo Amboseli Trip in Kenya Itinerary
Day 1: Mombasa – Tsavo East National Park
You will be picked from your hotel of stay Mombasa North or Diani beach. This will be followed by a briefing on your Tsavo Amboseli trip. You will then proceed to Tsavo East entering the park through Bachuma Gate.
Embark on a game drive on arrival looking for animals like herds of Elephants. Other animals include Giraffes, Buffalo, Lion, Cheetah, Zebra, Impala, and Monkeys among many others.
You will proceed to you lodge for lunch and check in at Voi Safari Lodge. Later afternoon proceeds for an afternoon game drive till late in the evening. Dinner and overnight will be at your lodge.
About Tsavo East National Park
Tsavo East National Park is Kenya’s largest National Park. The park covers an area of 11,700sq kms.
It is across the highway from Tsavo West. it is located in the former Eastern and Coast Province, South East of Nairobi.
It is a hot, water-less dry region with an annual rainfall of less than 51 cm recorded. Tsavo West has a large diversity of landscapes from the gorges of Lugard falls. Its water carved rocks to the natural catchment at Muanda.
Tsavo East National Park is one of the world’s largest game reserves. It provides undeveloped wilderness homes to vast numbers of animals.

About Amboseli National Park
Amboseli National Park is one of the less visited. It is no less attractive of Kenya’s beautiful parks.
Amboseli national Park is situated in the south of the country. it offers visitors spectacular views of the highest mountain in Africa.
Few people in the world are unfamiliar with the awe-inspiring sight of Mount Kilimanjaro. This forms a backdrop to scattered, flat topped acacia trees. There are magnificent elephant herds passing through. In Amboseli, the cliché becomes reality.
There was Joseph Thomson, eponym of the Thomson’s gazelle. He was the first European who saw the snows of Kilimanjaro.
This is now evoking memories of an old Hollywood movie based on a short story by Ernest Hemingway. The latter was a frequent visitor to Kenya.
Of course, Hemmingway came to Kenya at a less environmentally conscious time. This is when hunting was still done with rifles, not with cameras.
This beautiful land was called Embosel or the salty dust. This is in the Maa language of the indigenous Maasai.
Day 3: Amboseli – Tsavo West
Start your Tsavo Amboseli trip with an early morning game drive. This is before you return to your lodge for breakfast. After breakfast leave Amboseli for Tsavo West National Park.
You will arrive with Game en-route wand a visit to Mzima Springs. Here you can see hippos and fish in crystalline clear water. There are possibilities of seeing crocodiles and monkeys.
Later proceed to Ngulia safari lodge to check in for lunch. In the afternoon your Tsavo Amboseli trip can visit the rhino sanctuary and an afternoon game drive. You will return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.
About Tsavo West National Park
Tsavo West National Park is situated on Kenya’s southern border with Tanzania. This park is located about 200km south east of Nairobi. Combined with Tsavo East, this park forms one of the world’s largest game sanctuaries.
The East and West parks are separated by the Mombasa/Nairobi road. They both work well on a circuit with Mombasa.
Tsavo West has a variety of landscapes, from swamps and natural springs to rocky peaks. You also have extinct volcanic cones, to rolling plains and sharp reddish outcrops. Wildlife can be difficult to spot because of the dense scrubs.
In May 1948, a month after its conception Tsavo National Park was divided into East and West. This was for administrative purposes. At 21 812 square km, Tsavo National Park is the largest park in Kenya.
Day 4: Tsavo West to Mombasa
