Detailed 7 Day Cheap Rwanda Holiday
Day 1: Kigali – Akagera National Park
You will be met in the morning by our Rwanda safari rep. This can be either at the airport or your hotel in Kigali. You will enjoy being briefed on the cheap Rwanda holiday. This is to let you know what to expect on this Rwanda wildlife safari.

About Akagera National Park
Akagera National Park covers 2500 km² of savannah. This Rwanda National park is west of the Kagera River, in the north-east of Rwanda. The park has a variety of wildlife and is a habitat for over 500 different species of birds.
Herds of elephant and buffalo emerge from the woodland to drink at the lakes. You may stumble across a leopard, a spotted hyena or even a lion. Giraffe and zebra haunt the savannah, and more than a dozen types of antelope inhabit the park.
Akagera was founded in 1934 by the Belgian government. It is in northeastern Rwanda, along the border with Tanzania. The park has four ecosystems: low mountains, swamps, woodlands and savannah.
Akagera was once home to a diverse and abundant population of flora and fauna. Much of this suffered as a result of the decline in the park’s regulation. This was during and after the Rwandan Civil War.
In the past couple of decades, there has been the reintroduction of native species. This has made a massive difference to the re-population of animals in the park. The Big Five lions, rhinos, elephants, cape buffalo and leopards roam free once again.
Day 2: Akagera National Park

About Nyungwe National Park
Nyungwe forest national park is one of Rwanda’s most visited places. The Rwanda Nattional park boasts of rich biodiversity supporting over 1000 types of plants. Here there are 75 mammal species and 13 species of primates. There are 120 species of butterflies and 275 species of birds.
Nyungwe forest is the largest remaining montane forest in Africa. This park covers an area of 970 kilometers squared and it was established in the year 2004.
Nyungwe rainforest is located in the southern part of Rwanda. This is at the border of Burundi to the south, Democratic Republic of the Congo to the western part of Rwanda. Nyungwe rainforest national park is the best-preserved Montana rain forest in central Africa. Its a great place for Rwanda chimpanzee safaris.
Nyungwe forest national park is located in watershed. It is between the basin of river Congo to the west part of the river Nile to the east.
Day 4: Rwanda Chimpanzee Tracking
