Day 1: Nairobi – Amboseli National Park
Meet and greet will either be at the airport upon arrival. We can also have this at your hotel in Nairobi by our ever smiling Kenya safari rep.

About Amboseli National Park
Amboseli lies immediately north-west of Mount Kilimanjaro, on the border with Tanzania. The Park covers 392 square km, and forms part of the much larger 3,000 square km Amboseli ecosystem.
Large concentrations of wildlife occur here in the dry season. This makes Amboseli a popular tourist destination. It is surrounded by six owned group ranches.
Amboseli National Park embodies five main wildlife habitats. They include open plains, acacia woodland, rocky thorn bush country, swamps and marshland.

Day 2: Amboseli National Park

Amboseli National Park is located in Loitoktok District, Rift Valley Province of Kenya.
The park is 39,206 hectares (392 km2; 151 sq. mi) in size at the core of an 8,000 square kilometers (3,100 sq. mi) ecosystem that spreads across the Kenya-Tanzania border.
The park is famous for being the best place in Africa to get close to free-ranging elephants. They are just among other wildlife species here.

It was this region of Kenya that, in the 1930’s, inspired Ernest Hemingway’s unforgettable stories. They include ‘The Snows of Kilimanjaro’ and ‘The Short, Happy Life of Francis Macomber’.
The two books were turned into more than successful feature films in the late 1940’s due to their renowned actors. All forms of wildlife still abound in this wilderness which continues all the way to the Amboseli National Park, an easy twenty minute drive away from the lodge.
Amboseli Sopa Lodge is set within mature wooded gardens. The garden has a wide variety of trees and plants. These include thorn trees, Acacias, fragrant Frangipanis, colorful bougainvillea and giant cacti which all thrive in these surroundings.
The gardens are also home to numerous species of birds. There are other wildlife here like monkeys, mongooses, squirrels, duikers, the occasional gazelle and, once in a while, even an ever inquisitive leopard.
Amboseli Sentrim Camp
Amboseli Sentrim Lodge is a luxurious tented lodge with 60 modern tents with a private view of Mt. Kilimanjaro with very latest in luxury camping with soft beds, an ensuite bathroom with a steaming hot shower, a washbasin and flush toilets.

Where is Amboseli Sentrim Camp
Amboseli Sentrim Lodge is located right next to Kimana gate at the border of the home of Elephants Amboseli National Park.
The main road into the park from Nairobi on Amboseli national park is via Namanga (240km). This is on the Nairobi-Arusha road going through Meshanani gate. The other road is via Emali (228km) on the Nairobi-Mombasa road.
Access from Mombasa is mainly through Tsavo West via Kimana gate. It takes approximately 4 hours by road to Sentrim Amboseli from Nairobi and minutes by air.
