Day 1: ENTEBBE – KAMPALA
Our representative will pick you from the airport upon arrival. After meet and greet, have a detailed brief on your 14 day affordable gorilla trekking. This is to be followed by a transfer to Kampala. Arrive at the Hotel for relaxation and overnight City Square Hotel. This is booked on bed and breakfast basis.
Day 2: KAMPALA – ZIWA – MURCHISON FALLS
An early morning breakfast prepares you for the day. Depart heading northwest from Kampala. This will take you through the famous Luwero triangle. You will be over the flat landscapes of Nakasongora.
You branch off at Nakitooma to Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary headquarters. After a briefing on Rhino tracking, go into the savannah thicket. This is done on foot as you search of these animals that are among the Big five.
You will encounter the southern white Rhinos in the savannah thicket of Ziwa is rewarding. A break for lunch will be followed by a transfer to Murchison Falls National Park. You will arrive in time for relaxation, dinner and overnight red Chilli Safari Camp.
Day 3: MURCHISON FALLS NATIONAL PARK
Start your 14 day affordable gorilla trekking with an early breakfast. You will then venture into the savannah for a game drive. You will be looking for Elephants, Lions, buffaloes, Jackson hartebeests and waterbucks.
Also watch out for Oribi, Rothschild giraffe, spotted hyenas, leopards and many others. After 3 hours of game drive your 14 day affordable gorilla trekking takes a break. This will be at your Murchison falls safari lodge. It is time for relaxation that will be followed by lunch.

Drive through the districts of Kagadi and Kyenjonjo before getting into Fort Portal. Proceed to Kibale Forest in the evening. You will check in at Rwenzori View Guest House for dinner and overnight.
Day 5: KIBALE FOREST – QUEEN ELIZABETH NATIONAL PARK
Kibale has a diversity and highest massing of primates. This is not only in Uganda but Africa as a whole. Enjoy an early breakfast to kick start your day on 14 day affordable gorilla trekking. Proceed to the pack HQ for a briefing on chimpanzee trekking in Uganda.
This is to be followed by a nature walk in the tropical rainforest. You will be searching for wild chimpanzees with trained guides. The search takes about 2 – 5 hours. This is inclusive of one hour direct encounter with the chimps.
You will enjoy their sights as they consume fruit; roll themselves on tree branches and play. They often make pant and hooting calls which combine that is very exhilarating. Your ranger guide will help you understand these interesting behaviors.

Day 6: QUEEN ELIZABETH NATIONAL PARK
Start the 14 day affordable gorilla trekking morning with an early breakfast. Set out into the rolling savannah plains of Queen Elizabeth for a game drive. You will head to the Kasenyi area famous for abundant wildlife activities.
Expect encounters of Lions, Leopards, Elephants and antelopes. You may also see leopards, side stripped jackal, the spotted hyena and some of the 600 bird species here. Retreat to your Queen Elizabeth budget accommodation for relaxation and lunch.
In the afternoon drive down the Mweya Jetty in time for the afternoon boat cruise. This will be on the Kazinga channel that connects Lakes Edward to George. Kazinga is a natural channel that stretches for 45km from Lake George to Lake Edward.
Animals to be seen along the channel include Nile Crocodiles, Hippopotamus and antelope. You will also have sighting of birds such as the African skimmer. Return back Albertine Rift Camp for dinner and overnight.
Day 7: QUEEN ELIZABETH NATIONAL PARK
After breakfast, you will head to Kyambura gorge to catch up with the chimpanzee trekking. This will be at 0800hrs and starts with briefing. You will hike through the 100m deep gorge covered with lush mature tropical forest. You will get an hour of full direct encounter with the chimpanzees.
Return back to your Queen Elizabeth National Park accommodation in time for lunch. In the afternoon, you embark on the forest hike in the Maramagambo. You will explore the amazing forest landscapes with lush flora, fauna and birds.
The forest trail exposes you to the Crater Lake fields and also to the Bat cave. Here you find thousands of bats hanging upside down in their natural habitat. Get back to your lodge in time for dinner and overnight.
Day 8: QUEEN ELIZABETH – BWINDI NATIONAL PARK
Enjoy your breakfast to kick off your 14 day affordable gorilla trekking day. This will be followed by checkout and drive to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. The drive goes through the southern sector of Queen Elizabeth NP named Ishasha.
Here you will be looking for the famous tree climbing lions along with other wild game. Tree climbing lions are noted to be thriving only in Ishasha sector Uganda and Lake Manyara National Park in Tanzania on a world scale. After lunch, proceed to Bwindi where you will arrive in the evening. You will be in time for relaxation, dinner and overnight Buhoma Community Bandas.
Day 9: MOUNTAIN GORILLA TREKKING IN UGANDA
The day is here and starts it with an early breakfast. A transfer to the park HQ will be in time for a briefing. Your 14 affordable gorilla trekking then gets into the forest. It is time for the long awaited adventure of Gorilla tracking in the Bwindi Impenetrable forest.
Gorilla tracking is unpredictable; it is difficult to estimate how long you may take the jungle. However, the excursion may take 2-8 hours. It all depends on the movement of these great apes. But regardless of the time spent, the excitement of seeing the gorillas makes it all worthwhile.
One hour with gorillas allows you to gain direct views of these ancient apes. You will have to maintain a seven meter distance. Return to your Bwindi Forest accommodation for an afternoon of rest and relaxation. Dinner and overnight will follow suit.
Day 10: BWINDI – LAKE BUNYONYI
After breakfast, embark on the transfer to Lake Bunyonyi. You will drive through fascinating Kigezi Highlands. Here locals apply terracing method to cultivate their slopes. This creates an impressive scenic landscape worth of viewing and photographing.
Upon arrival at Lake Bunyonyi, you embark on the Island hopping experience. You will explore the Bucuranuka (Upside down) Island. It is believed to have buried people alive. This is after they refused to offer local brew to an old woman. She went ahead and cursed the Island which turned upside down burying its inhabitants.
You also visit the Akampane (Punishment) Island. Here the girls with unwanted premarital pregnancies would be dumped. They were left to die of hunger or drown as they as try to swim back the main land.
There is also Bushara, Kyahugye and Njuyera Islands which can also be visited. The hopping experience exposes you to the local life of the Islanders. You will have your meals and overnight at Byoona Amagara Island Resort.
Day 11: LAKE BUNYONYI – LAKE MBURO NATIONAL PARK
After breakfast your 14 day affordable gorilla trekking drives to Lake Mburo National Park. This is a 199km drive that will take approximately 4 hours. You will pass through impressive landscapes of south western Uganda. A stop in Mbarara town will let you sample the cuisine here.
Proceed to Lake Mburo National Park 33km entering through Sanga Gate. With an evening game drive, enjoy your 14 day gorilla tour Uganda. Day 12: LAKE MBURO – KAMPALA

You hike to the top of Kazuma hull to gain views of the park and lakes below. You retreat from the activity and embark on 240km about 3 – 4 hour transfer to Kampala.
You make a top at the Equator for impressive photo shoots and purchase of memorabilia at any of the gift shops to commemorate your visit to Uganda. Continue to arrive in Kampala in the evening for relaxation, dinner and overnight City Square Hotel.
Day 13: KAMPALA CITY TOUR
This is a day dedicated to Kampala city. On this 14 day affordable gorilla trekking day, you will get to know Kampala. After your breakfast, take a trip to Uganda’s capital city. This starts at 0830hrs exploring sites of cultural sites.
You will also have time for sites of historical, religious, political and educational significance. Visit the Bahai temple – the biggest and only religious temple building of its kind in Africa.
Baha’i temple is a good site for picnic because of its beautiful picnic scenery. It is rightly placed on a hill that gives you a view of the city.
You will go to the Uganda Museum with lots of colonial, cultural and traditional collections. Makerere University is the first and the oldest university in East Africa. Kasubi tombs – The largest crypt in Africa and special burial place for Baganda kings.

With the Namirembe Cathedral – the first and oldest religious feature that was constructed by the European missionaries. Explore Namugongo Shrines – a historical place where the first Ugandan Christians were murdered.
